Emergency Room Major Project Make Up – 9/24/15

Dear Class,

Sorry for the tech difficulties in class yesterday. I have used those project files for many years and never had a problem. Apparently, the files were somehow damaged upon upload to the Onedrive.com site.

Here’s what we need to do:

In the interest of not using so much class time, I am making the files and project instructions available for you to download and work on them prior to next week’s class, Wednesday 9/30/15.

Please use this link to download the project files (now much smaller and WITH audio) and the project instructions: http://1drv.ms/1OUDgLW

Please come into lab or use your own computer and software during the next week between today 9/24/15 and Wednesday 9/30/15 to work on your ER Projects. In the interest of saving class time, we will only be spending the first half of the class on the ER project. The second part of the class will be devoted to the next Media Composer class lesson.

IF YOU FINISH BEFORE CLASS WEDNESDAY 9/30/15, DO NOT SEND ME YOUR FILE BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO CHECK THEM BEFORE YOU TURN THEM IN DURING CLASS.

Of course, you may also use your own computer and software. You may also use lab time to work on your projects. Contact the SEDT Equipment Room for Lab Hours and Locations at 305-237-8224.

Call 305-237-1886 or email me jvanvori@mdc.edu with any questions.

If you wish to purchase an academic copy of Media Composer (MC works on both Mac & PC), Media Composer works on Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit and MAC OS. It requires 8GB of RAM. To determine if you have the required amount of RAM in your computer, see the movies below. To get the academic price, check this link: http://www.avid.com/US/Solutions/byIndustry/Education/students – students
